Welcome to the Songs of the Month. Each month we will bring to you at least one new song,
and possibly more, taken from a variety of sources. Some will come straight from our
Sunday and Wednesday worship service tapes, some will be from semi-professional studio
recordings, and others from home studios.
Every song is licensed under the NCGPL and may be
freely used accordingly. So should you find one you like and have the ways and the
means to produce it, go for it. Please don't wait for us. Our goal is to get the
music out and make it available, not turn into a record company.
Songs of the Month
Both Alabaster Box and Free To Dance were recorded "live"
at our church with just Pastor Jay and a piano. They're not
perfect, but they are anointed in my opinion, and that's our first
goal.
Alabaster Box is a song we are very excited
to finally be making available. Many people ask us why we do what
we do, and some times it is hard to explain. This song seems to
convey in 7 minutes, what might take me all day to explain. The
half dozen or so people I have given a copy to all told me they played
it over and over again. So check it out, it is well worth the download.
For those of you looking for chord charts, we hope to have them
available very soon.
Free To Dance is a little different than
other songs found on the site. It is what you might call a
"missionary" song. It is written for those Christians
in other countries who are not free to worship God. Who are not
free to sing and free to dance. In America, we tend to take that
for granted. If you have a friend in the mission field, or know a
pastor over seas, I highly recommend sharing this song with them.
It may not be a song you sing during Sunday morning service, but it is
a song you will be singing once you hear it.
